Project Description

Nicolas Ruel’s first photographic series, INOX, had its Canadian premiere at the Parquet of the Caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec (CDP) in Montreal in October 2005. Soonafter, he created ELEMENTS (2006), a four-part series (AIR, WATER, FIRE, EARTH), which includes the first images created with the artist’s in camera double-exposure technique. The series CARNAVAL, created in Venice in 2010, marks the culmination of a technique and a style that would continue to evolve over the years that followed.
